Shri Narendra Modi honored Dr. V.A. Shiva Ayyadurai, the inventor of email when they met on March 14, 2014 at the Gujarat Bhavan in New Delhi. Shri Modi evinced keen interest in how Shiva came about to invent email and said that the country needs more icons like Shiva to be an inspiration for youth to help foster the spirit of innovation.
